Meta-Work: The #1 Workplace Allergen
Whether at work or in a romantic relationship we've all been in that situation where you're arguing about a problem that you're not sure even exists.
In relationships it's the (usually) premature "Where are we and where is this going" conversation. I call that meta-relationship-ing.
At work it's the (usually) premature "Should we do this and what are the consequences" conversation. I call that meta-work.
It's when there isn't a problem, you're still in the exploratory phase - or worse, haven't yet actually begun the exploratory phase - and you're essentially asking "are we going to get married" or "is this our best long-term sustainable strategy" when you've just barely started dating or a new project.
